Doug has served as pastor of Trinity Bible Church since 1991. His experience prior to that included several teaching positions in both private and public schools, part-time church ministries in Maine and Texas, and four years on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ at Dartmouth College. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Dallas Theological Seminary, having grown up in Memphis.
Like most pastors of smaller churches he wears a wide variety of ministry hats, from teaching and counseling to playing one musical instrument or another on Sundays to emptying the dehumidifier in the church basement. He is thrilled with the addition of our associate pastor to the staff, enabling Doug to focus more of his attention on leading and feeding the flock at Trinity.
Doug and his wife Kim have three children in high school and college. After coaching Little League baseball in Sutton and the Kearsarge area for twelve years, he has recently handed off the family coaching mantle to Kim, who is now the head field hockey coach at the middle school.
Not many people know... Doug has had a bowl of Rice Chex for breakfast almost every morning for the past 40 years. ("Discovered it at my grandfather's house one time and never looked back!")

Mark is the new guy at Trinity. Prior to coming to Trinity, Mark had experience counseling emotionally disturbed teens, working in the corporate world, and then serving on the pastoral staff of a church in New Jersey for 10 years. Mark is a graduate of Old Dominion University and of Bethel Seminary of the East.
Though he is involved in many different tasks during the week, the underlying theme of Mark's role at Trinity is to equip God's people for works of service (Ephesians 4:1-12). During the week you may find Mark teaching, supporting, training, encouraging, coordinating, planning, or counseling - or anything else that might need to be done!
Mark loves spending time with his wife and three children. Mark also enjoys riding his bike when he gets the opportunity, and he has recently acquired the new hobby of finding firewood.
Not many people know... Mark is usually a pretty healthy eater, though he has a definite weakness for any dessert that includes ice cream.
Tom has been at Trinity since 1998, landing here upon "returning home" to his New Hampshire roots following a number of years in Virginia. After college and a short stint in the teaching field, he has spent the rest of his professional career in the world of computers, working currently as the IT manager of a locally based mail order firm. His professional life spills over into his ministry here as Tom maintains the computer and phone systems at church. His primary ministry at Trinity beyond the leadership team has been in the area of music and worship.
Tom lives with his family in the community of Andover, where he and his wife enjoy the life of "small town America." He has one daughter in college and one in elementary school. Tom enjoys bike riding, working in the yard and getting out with his family whenever possible.
Not many people know... Tom's favorite channel on TV is the food channel. He has bought more cookbooks than any other type of book in recent years.
The Newkirk family moved from Vermont to New London in 1995, taking up residence in the neighborhood where Caroline had grown up, and were soon plugged in as members of the Trinity church family. Bob has provided leadership through the years in a number of areas at TBC, including middle school youth ministry, small group discipleship, outreach efforts such as the Kearsarge Workcamp, and a number of seasons on the children's church teacher rotation.
Bob and Caroline have three daughters in high school, college, and the oldest is out of school and recently married. With a career in the electrical industry, Bob enjoys a good round of golf (which precludes Doug from playing) and his own homespun maple sugaring operation.
Not many people know... Bob and Caroline met on a blind date... set up by his mom.
Ed and his family came to Trinity in 1994. With a master's degree in social work, he moved from Connecticut at that time to become Director of the New Hampshire Division of Casey Family Services, a nonprofit, child welfare agency. Ed and his wife Anita have 3 grown children, and 1 granddaughter. The Rennells love to travel, camp, enjoy their 4 dogs, and taking walks.
After many years of leading our high school student ministries, Ed's current focus is on some of Trinity's outreach efforts in the Kearsarge community. He is one of the leaders for NAILS4U, which provides free home repairs for under-resourced families, and is heading up the effort to bring a Group Workcamp to the area in 2009, as we have done twice before.
Not many people know... "how cheery I am!", Ed says.
