WHO ARE WE?
Trinity Bible Church was founded in 1977
by two families living in the Bradford-Newbury area who wanted a nearby church whose
theology was solidly based on the reliability and authority of Scripture. The church
was started under the name of Trinity Gospel Chapel, which it carried until 1987.
For its first eight years the church met in the rustic Veterans Hall in Newbury.
Through the Lord's gracious provision, in 1985 the congregation moved to its present
facility in South Sutton, which has been completed a phase at a time over the years
as funds allowed. All construction has been accomplished without debt -- to the glory of God!
The church is led by a group of elders, whose collective task is to "shepherd the flock"
(1 Peter 5:1-2). Among them is Doug Dean, a graduate of Dallas
Theological Seminary, who began his ministry as Trinity's fourth pastor in 1991.
The church membership reflects a wide range in age, vocation, spiritual background, and
geography. There are both young families and older Christians, professionals and blue collar
workers, people from denominational backgrounds and some with little or no previous church
association. The church family lives in the towns of |
