Cross Training

...train yourself to be godly.  For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.                                                1 Timothy 4:7-8

In the realm of physical fitness, experts have found that periodically changing your workout and incorporating different types of exercises develops a greater comprehensive fitness than just continuing to do the same exercise or activity over and over.  This principle of cross training can hold true in our spiritual fitness as well.  It is important that we each avoid "getting in a rut" and that we keep our own personal discipleship fresh and vibrant.  Changing up our training routine from time to time can be helpful in that regard so that we keep growing in the full-spectrum of knowledge and skills that we need in order to become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

With this in mind, Trinity offers our own Cross Training at 9:30 am on Sundays for all adults and high school students.  What makes Cross Training distinctive is that each year is broken down into 6- to 8-week “sessions”, and that during each of those sessions there will be three different classes to choose from.  This format lets us each individualize the content and the intensity of our spiritual "workout" based upon our own needs and availability during that time.
