All Church Retreat

at Singing Hills   red/white spacer image  February 27 – March 1, 2009

Coming For the Weekend...

Dinner is at 6:30 in the main lodge (line closes at 7:00). Our check-in table will be set up in the chapel foyer* (just beyond the main lodge) from 5:00 to 6:30, and again between dinner and our 7:20 meeting.  Name tags and room assignments will be available at the table.

(*Disregard the "Registration" sign over the main lodge door.)

Coming on Saturday...

Plan to arrive at least 20 minutes before the meeting or event you're aiming for.  (Main sessions at 9:15 and 3:45; Variety Show at 7:00)  Find us in the chapel complex (just beyond the main lodge), and check in at our registration table in the chapel foyer even if you're just there for the day.

Coming for Sunday Service...

The worship service begins at 10:30 (earlier than our usual time), so plan to arrive at the chapel (just beyond the main lodge) by around 10:15.

Come even if you haven't signed up. We'll plan enough food for a few extras.

BEST Route
***new in 2009*** (avoids steep Methodist Hill)
allow 45 min. from church, or 30 min. from exit 12

I-89 north to exit 17: Enfield / Lebanon / Mascoma

Turn left at end of ramp onto Route 4 (towards Lebanon.

Drive 0.5 mile on Route 4 (up a hill, down a hill, and near the top of another hill) and then turn left on Laplante Road (look for the red apple sign).

Drive 1.0 mile to the stop sign (a T-intersection).

Turn left onto Route 120 and drive 7.0 miles, passing Kimball Union Academy , and turn right on Stage Road (not very well marked, but it's shortly after you pass KUA and after the road to the elementary school).

Drive 1.5 miles and turn right into the Singing Hills driveway, marked by a sign, across from the town highway garage.

Bear left all the way up the driveway to the lodge and the chapel complex where we will be staying.

Simpler Route
(Longer but with fewer turns & hills,
may be better in poor driving conditions.)
Allow 1 hour from church, or 45 min. from exit 12

I-89 north to Exit 20 in West Lebanon, At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Route 12A.

Follow Route 12A south for 7 miles.

At the bottom of a long hill, turn left onto Stage Road (sign points to Meriden)

Singing Hills is 4 miles out on Stage Road on the left. A large wooden "Singing Hills" sign marks the end of the driveway.

Bear left all the way up the drive to the lodge and the chapel complex where we will be staying.

PARKING
Park anywhere around the lodge or the chapel that's not marked "no parking". There's an overflow parking lot on the road that goes to the left of the tubing hill – turn left after circling the main lodge.

EMERGENCY   CONTACT   INFORMATION

Cell phone coverage at Singing Hills is spotty. Most users can find reception somewhere on the grounds to make calls, but shouldn't rely on cells for receiving any expected calls. In an emergency, someone can get a message to you by calling Singing Hills at 469-3236, a phone that will be monitored by staff the whole time we're there.
