Antenna 3 Goes Down In Storm
On July 7, a tropical depression that was turning into a tropical storm was
moving across the island. Along with gusts of wind were some heavy thunderstorms.
In the midst of this storm in the later hours of our broadcast shift, the south
side of antenna 3 broke. The wind caused quite a tangled mess of the antenna.
After the broadcast shift Saturday morning, we went to work to start
repairing the antenna. With one of our staff working night shift, this
left us with 5 men to do the repair work. Let me back up a few hours.
At 5:00AM Kathy and I were at the airport to meet a short term mission
team from our supporting church in Windsor, VT. They had arrived to assist both
TWR and another mission they support here – Shepherding Ministries. I went
from seeing these folks in, to going to the transmitter site to start the process
of getting the antenna back up.
The Lord's timing is impeccable! We were able to get the antenna back up
and on line in 7 days thanks to the arrival of Hank, Cathy, Les, Joshua and Erin.
We had a need for a road grader operator. It is no accident that Hank is a
heavy equipment operator. The Lord showed His hand in the midst of all the work. At
first we were working in heavy winds. During the raising of the antenna there was
just a small breeze.

Kathy came down to the site for a day as well and put some of
the finishing touches on the work. She was also busy keeping
us all well-fed during the week.

When we were putting the antenna together and starting to raise it, more help
arrived. We had four men from churches here that came to help as well. What an encouragement.
Listener's letter:
"I like listening to the radio. One day I happened to hear this program. You were saying
about the way to heaven through Jesus. I had never heard this before. I always thought
that knowing about God is not so easy, but your program made it seem so easy in reaching
God through Christ. The life of Christ has attracted and inspired me to know about salvation."

Countdown to the Ross's Furlough
That's right; we are already starting the planning for our furlough. We will leave Guam
in May 2007 for a few weeks of recruiting and then on to our church meetings, and getting the
chance to see you again. We will be in the New England area the first part of June
through September. Please pray with us about our need for a vehicle for these four months of
travel, and of course for the Lord's help in getting our schedule completed and fitting everyone in.
