Local Ministry Partners Host Conference

Here is an invitation from Cindy Benson, one of Trinity's supported ministry partners.

The Crossroads Christian Fellowship (Navigators) at Colby-Sawyer College will be hosting a one-day conference called "Ablaze" on Saturday, March 29th from 10-5 PM in Wheeler Hall, Ware Student Center and area churches are invited to attend.

AblazeThe conference's purpose is to awaken, unite and strengthen the Body of Christ on campus as well as in the surrounding community. It will be a day where people from all generations, nations and denominations will come together to gather, worship and learn from His word. The theme, 'Rising Generation,' will be a call to the current generation of Christ followers to take up his cause with selfless faith. We invite area churches to join us for what promises to be an inspiring day! Lunch will be provided. We hope to see you there! For more information, contact: Cindy Benson, Navigators Staff at Colby-Sawyer and Dartmouth Colleges, cindybenson@tds.net. There will be a worship band made up of college students from NYU and Colby-Sawyer. We are hoping to have a Christian a cappella group, X.ado, from Dartmouth perform as well.

The speakers for the conference are:

  • Allie Wong, Navigators Staff at University of Vermont. In addition to developing and discipling college students, she lives in an intentional community which seeks to build relationships in and among the city's under-resourced and refugee populations.
  • Beth Kidd, executive director at Place of Promise, Lowell, MA. Beth is a registered nurse who founded the Place of Promise, a Christian non-profit organization that has a residential program to help those who are hurting, lost, and broken to choose and find Life.
  • Bryn Gillette, painter, and teacher of art, photography and Bible at Trinity-Pawling School in NY. He is the co-founder of TeamOne:27, a non-profit dedicated to serving the needs of Haitian orphans, and spends the majority of his artistic time as an advocate and champion of the needs of his Haitian “family”.

Come be inspired!
