But Jesus called the children to him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.” (Luke 18:16-17)
Here you'll find information about our children's activities during our Sunday morning worship service. Also check out our Sunday School classes for children (not currently meeting). If you have any additional questions regarding our Children's Ministry, please feel free to contact Doug.
Nursery
Infants up through 4th birthday
Children under four are taught and cared for during the Sunday worship service by a team of adults and youth helpers. Older toddlers enjoy a snack, simple Bible story and coloring time followed by carefully monitored free-play time.
Kingdom Kids
Pre-K through grade 2
Kingdom Kids is designed to help our children grow as followers of Christ through purposeful and age-appropriate teaching from the Bible during our 10:00 worship service. We recognize that parents have primary responsibility for the spiritual development of their children, and as a church we want to support and encourage parents in that process. One way we do that is by providing parents with materials they can use at home throughout the week to follow up and reinforce what the children are learning on Sunday.
Children join us for the beginning of our worship service, then are dismissed to go to Kingdom Kids as we finish our time in music. The program extends about 15 minutes after the service ends so that we have enough time to properly cover the material and activities, as well as to provide time for parents to fellowship upstairs before retrieving their children.
Transition Kids
Grade 3 and up
We offer a unique program for kids transitioning from children's church into the worship service. Kids are given a personalized journal for note taking then meet afterwards in the auditorium with Transition Kids volunteers to review what they learned from the sermon. Kids earn points and prizes along the way.
The safety of your children is very important to us. All of the volunteers in our children's ministries undergo a national background check and are vetted carefully.
