Middle school is all about transition, and our classes and activities are geared to face that head on. Our discussions are open, honest and biblically-based as we explore how changing lives find an anchor in an unchanging God. We challenge our middle schoolers to affirm and know their faith in ways that allow them to effectively engage the world around them.
Sunday morning at 9:30 is our weekly foundational time of discussion and interaction. We begin with a time where all are encouraged to talk about their week. This is followed by life-relevant instruction designed to reveal God's plan for His people as it applies to their world: at school, at home, and among their peers.
For Middle School Youth Group, we'll meet once a month on the second Sunday of each month following the worship service and share a meal, play games and just have fun. Transportation after is provided so parents are free to head home as usual after the morning services without the need to return to pick anyone up.
We also want to begin to give our Middle Schoolers increased responsibility and ownership of their time and faith. With the goal in mind, we will allow the students to take an active role in our activities and studies. This may mean letting them plan the activities at Youth Group or having a say in what topics we tackle next in Sunday School.
