Hacked

Dear Trinity family,

This morning I received an email from Jim Critchlow asking for how to find the directory and what the password was. That's not an uncommon question. The directory is available on the website (not the app) but it's not obvious where it is and that's to avoid what just happened.

I sent Jim the information and later learned it wasn't Jim. It was a hack. Thus, this person went into our directory and started emailing and texting people.

If you receive something from me asking for help or urgent help or looking for gift cards, it's not me. All you have to do is look at the email address. Mine is brad@trinitybiblechurch.us or bradbanks40@gmail.com. That's it. I don't use any others. Also the phone number they are using, 509-541-8543, is from eastern Washington. I've never lived in eastern Washington.

The result of this, though, is that I changed the password for the directory. I'm happy to give it to you but I'll only do so on the phone or in person. I apologize for the inconvenience but I'm a little concerned with email and texts that it could fall into the wrong hands. Denise Dailey, our administrator, will have this information soon and you can contact her as well.

If it helps in the future, just know that I'm not a formal title kind of guy so if you see "Pastor Brad Banks" or Rev. Brad Banks, I only talk that way if I have to.

In Christ
Brad
