Dear Trinity family,
Contrary to popular opinion, the summer is not all but over. I don't care if back-to-school commercials have started airing. It's not even August yet, but it will be by Sunday and so, I want to keep some of our happenings in front of you.
Our membership class starts this Sunday @ 9:00AM in our back right classroom. If you haven't signed up yet and would like to do so, you still can. You are also free to simply show up. This class is a great way to learn more about TBC. Attending does not obligate you to become a member but if you are wanting to become a member, this is the first step.
On Sunday, August 30th @ 4:00PM, we will be praying for the upcoming school year at each of our KRSD campuses (elementary, middle, and high school). We meet at the church at 4:00, divvy up the load, and disperse to pray for our kids, our teachers, and our community.
Our end-of-summer picnic (when it's truly the end of summer), will be on Sunday, September 6th @ Kezar Lake. This Sunday is also one that we intentionally set aside for people who would like to be baptized. This isn't the only time of year when that's possible, but it is a date where we plan on doing this as part of our worship service. If you are interested in being baptized, please let me or one of our elders know.
Lastly, thank you for all of your prayers and kind words last Sunday. Thank you also for putting up with an emotional pastor. I didn't expect to get that way, but I've learned that grief pretty much just shows up when it shows up, and I'm grateful for your patience. God bless and I hope to see you Sunday when we'll be in 1 Peter 5.
