Great Expectations

Dear Trinity family,

This Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. Within the history of the church across the globe, this has served as a time to prepare our hearts as we expectantly await the arrival of Christmas. But it's not about the lights or the music or the gifts (all of which I love).

Advent means arrival and since the Father kept His promise with respect to the first coming of His Son, that's all the more reason for us to look forward to His keeping His promises regarding the Second Coming with confidence and hope.

As part of this Advent season, you'll see readings, lighting of candles, kids singing, and it's all meant to cultivate in us a foretaste of the joy we will know when we are finally in the presence of our Savior.

Make a note as well of the following upcoming events:
  • Christmas choir rehearsals - December 6, 13, and 20 from 9:00AM-10:30AM
  • Piece by Piece - TBC Women's Event, an evening of pie competition & puzzle making, December 13 from 7:00PM-9:00PM
  • Youth Christmas Party - December 21, 4:00PM-6:00PM
  • Christmas Eve service - December 24. 6:00PM
  • Youth Sunday - December 28

God bless and we will see you this Sunday (Discipleship 101 - Temptation & Suffering; The Family: Your First Mission Field - The Family in Perspective, Sermon - Judges 18)!

In Christ
Pastor Brad
