Cornel & Karen Bucur
Pathway to Joy Ministries - Oradea, Romania
The Bucurs care for orphans in a state-run institution, facilitating their transition into loving homes, as well as work to plant churches among gypsy communities in the Oradea region.
Cornel was born in Oradea, Romania. He came to know the Lord as a teenager, and in the late 1970’s he spent a year and a half in a labor camp as a result of his involvement in ministry in a country gripped by atheism and Marxist philosophy. Karen, a Canadian, met Cornel in Bible School in the States. Cornel was instrumental in setting up Trinity’s involvement in Romania via two summer work projects in the 90’s.

They served in Guam from 1989 until 2017, when they relocated to Arizona as a home base for George's frequent travels.
George and Kathy are “home-grown” missionaries, being sent out on the field as members of Trinity Bible Church. Having grown up nearby in Georges Mills and Sunapee, both came to know the Lord through the witness of people at TBC.
